Mask Hacks: How to Use C'est Moi Masks to the Maximum

Face masks are universally loved as a staple in solo skincare routines and bonding moments with friends. We love the ritual of putting on a face mask, but more importantly, they are an essential part of skincare and help you address immediate skin conditions.

Broken out? There’s a mask for that. Feeling dry? There’s a mask for that too. Get a little too much sun? Yup, it’s handled.

While there are many masks out there we use and love, we are featuring three masks C’est Moi has currently available to you (SPOILER ALERT: there are more on the way!). Learn what’s in them, how often to use, when to use and hacks for how to maximize your masking!

BTW, to celebrate our 2nd birthday, during the month of January, all masks and mask sets are 30% off. Use code MASKIT30 at checkout on cestmoi.com to save!

PURIFYING
Charcoal Clay Facial Mask

If you have oily skin or are struggling with congested skin (i.e. blackheads, breakouts, etc), Purifying is a great mask for you.

Formulated with activated charcoal, salicylic acid, apple, olive and ginger extracts, this mask helps gently exfoliate to minimize the appearance of pores, leaving skin smooth and refined without stripping the skin.

We recommend you use Purifying 1-2 times per week all over your face.

MASK HACK: If you’re broken out, you can use 1-2x more as a spot treatment. Dab it directly on a pimple and let dry for about 15 minutes.

While Purifying helps with congested skin, it’s formulated for all skin types and provides a gorgeous skin detox for anyone!

REFRESHING
Papaya & Strawberry Seed Scrub Facial Mask

Exfoliation is an extremely important part of a well-rounded skincare routine. It clears away dead skin cells, which can clog pores and make your products less effective.

If your skin is feeling dry, the first place to start is exfoliating with Refreshing. Designed to hydrate and balance while gently scrubbing away impurities, this unique blend of papaya, sugar and strawberry seeds provides a refreshing treat to the skin.

We recommend you use Refreshing about once per week. After applying all over and leaving for ~15 minutes, you’ll use warm water and circular motions to gently scrub cheeks, nose, forehead, around the mouth and chin. It’s really vital that after you rinse your face, you moisturize.

MASK HACK: You can always use it in certain parts of your face that feel drier than others—including your lips! We love to use Refreshing as a lip scrub; simply place a dime sized amount on your finger, apply to lips and scrub in a circular motion for ~10-15 seconds. Rinse off with water.

SOOTHING
Cucumber & Aloe Gel Facial Mask

Simple, clean and oh so soothing! The unique combination of organic aloe, cucumber, and calendula in Soothing help to calm and hydrate all skin types. If you’re in need of a calming moisture boost for dry, irritated or inflamed skin, Soothing is your bestie!

We recommend you use Soothing 1-2 times per week. Apply all over face, neck and chest as desired. Leave on for 15 minutes, and follow with an even application of moisturizer to face, neck and chest.

MASK HACK: Put Soothing in the refrigerator at least 5 minutes before use for a seriously refreshing masking experience! The coolness feels especially calming on sunburnt or irritated skin

Double Masking and More

In general, masking 1-2 times per week is a good rule of thumb. If you're experiencing a breakout, we recommend masking 3x a week—and using all of our masks! You can get all three for less in the Mask Party set

Looking to really maximize your masking experience? Double up! Broken Out? Try Purifying followed by Soothing. Dry Skin? Use Refreshing followed by Soothing. Oily skin? Start with Refreshing followed by Purifying.
